Celebrating Tradition, Crafting The Future

The Art Gallery of San Francisco

At Gagan Tara Handicraft, we specialize in creating exquisite art pieces crafted from sustainably sourced wheat straw, a natural material that connects us to the beauty of the earth. Our dedicated artisans skillfully blend traditional Nepali techniques with modern design, producing unique works of art that reflect both our cultural heritage and contemporary aesthetics.

The art of wheat straw crafting, known as Chhawali, requires immense patience, skill, and attention to detail. Each piece is handcrafted with care, and our creations range from intricate decorative pieces to larger, custom-designed art that brings a natural elegance to any space. Our mission is to preserve this ancient craft while offering pieces that are both sustainable and beautifully designed.

In addition to our art collection, we offer training programs for those interested in learning the delicate art of wheat straw crafting. With our Basic, Advanced, and Embossed courses, we empower individuals to connect with this traditional craft, supporting a community of skilled artisans who continue to preserve the legacy of this art form.

At Gagan Tara Handicraft, we are more than just a brand; we are a community that values sustainability, cultural preservation, and the beauty of handmade art. Our goal is to bring the charm of wheat straw art into homes and businesses worldwide, offering timeless pieces that celebrate the intersection of nature and creativity
